Most of the children studying in Mary’s live in rural villages in the outskirts of Tindivanam. Some of the villages are located at long distances. And many of them have to find the means to go to school as the buses are very crowded during the peak hours.
Children from rural villages, daily have to travel long distances to attend school.

Independence Day Celebration at Marys

The children prepared an amazing show. All four houses danced, sang or played the history of India. The kids had only one week to get ready for the presentations and everyone, parents, staff and classmates, enjoyed watching their talents.

The show of the Green House – proud to be Indian, very lively dance performed by a group of boys and one small girl.

The show by the Blue House Рdances and a drama about the birth of India. All the parts like Gandhi, the British troops or a group of cows were played very well.

The nursery school kids were dressed up as the heroes of the nation. It was a cute picture to see them so nicely dressed up.

The show of the Yellow House Рvery artistic dancing with creative formations.

The show of the Red House – very talented, traditional dancers.

“And the winner is … the Red House!”

The new interns from Germany – Lisa Krusch (left) and Antonia Opelt (right) with the Principal. We enjoyed your show very much. Thank you!
